Budovatelů Square in Sokolov
Petr Parléř Award 2013 - 1st prize
The Budovatelů Square is the second most important public space in Sokolov and at the same time it materializes the negatives of the places created in the time of the Builders' enthusiasm for folk festivals to celebrate socialism. Our design is based on a latent geometric order, in which, after removing barriers, we have placed new greenery and other elements that bring a human scale to the space, making it pleasant on weekdays and holidays.
The competition design, co-authored by Kamil Mrva, was awarded the Petr Parléř Prize 2013. More information can be found on the Petr Parléř Society website.
